Treatment methods
Psychiatric consultations
In our team, we have psychiatry specialists and doctors currently undergoing specialization in psychiatry. During the first (40 min.) and subsequent (20 min.) medical visits, they will guide you through the process of diagnosing mental illnesses and disorders, as well as prescribe the appropriate pharmacotherapy. During the visits, the doctor also helps in choosing suitable psychotherapeutic interventions based on the specific situation.
Psychiatric consultations for children and adolescents
The role of child and adolescent psychiatry is to treat disorders and mental illnesses in the pediatric age group, which encompasses the period from birth to adulthood. A child psychiatrist is involved in treating various conditions such as depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, phobias, ADHD, self-harm, and behavioral disorders in children.
Individual psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a non-pharmacological method of treating mental disorders. In practice, it involves regular meetings with a specialist who uses methods to alleviate or treat psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The experience of the past few years has shown that certain forms of therapy can also be effectively conducted online.

Therapy for cognitive function disorders
Cognitive function disorder therapy – therapy aimed at improving functioning in the areas of speech, memory, and daily activities for individuals following head injuries, strokes, or brain function disorders due to various conditions and diseases. It is conducted by a neuropsychologist. The patient participates in various exercises and tasks designed to stimulate damaged brain functions. Available also in English.
Pharmacotherapy for Addiction
Our specialists approach each patient individually, with understanding. We specialize in treating alcohol addiction, utilizing medications to help reduce the amount of alcohol consumed and support abstinence. We assist patients addicted to drugs, psychoactive substances, or with behavioral addictions.

Psychodietetic consultations
Psychodietetic consultations are intended for individuals who want to change their relationship with food. Patients with eating disorders (such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating) and those who regulate tension or emotions through eating will benefit from it.
These consultations are recommended as a supportive process for pharmacological treatment and sometimes as an independent method of working with the patient. Available in English and online.
Psychological diagnosis
Psychological diagnosis is a medical procedure that constitutes an important element in the patient’s treatment process and aims to confirm the presence of a specific mental health disorder or rule it out. Professionals in clinical psychology and psychologists undergoing a 4-year specialization possess the expertise for such assessments. It is recommended that this type of diagnostic assessment be conducted in the native language, preferably by a psychologist who speaks the same native language to ensure the highest quality of diagnosis.
Neuropsychological diagnosis
Indicated for patients with issues related to speech, memory, daily activities, individuals post-head injuries, strokes, suspected dementia, and those with brain function disorders in the course of various conditions and diseases.
Conducted by a neuropsychologist. The diagnostic process concludes with the issuance of a neuropsychological opinion, discussing the results with the patient, and providing documentation.
ADHD diagnosis
The diagnosis of ADHD is possible after the initial general psychiatric consultation, aiming to rule out other mental disorders that may present similar symptoms. The psychiatrist at NURT directs the patient to further diagnostic tests conducted by a neuropsychologist.
Intranasal esketamine therapy
Nasal esketamine therapy (Spravato®) in the treatment of treatment-resistant depression.
The drug Spravato® is intended for patients who have not responded to at least two different antidepressant therapies in the current episode of moderate to severe depression.
