A psychiatrist, he completed his specialization training at the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk. He expanded his skills and horizons through numerous scientific conferences and research internships, both domestic and international. He conducted internships, including at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, and as part of international exchange programs in Italy, at the Universita’ degli Studi di Pisa. As a PhD candidate, he has been involved in scientific and teaching work at the Department of Physiopathology and Department of Adult Psychiatry of the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk for several years.
As a researcher, his main area of interest lies at the intersection of psychiatry and immunology – he investigates the relationship between the immune system and depression. During his work at the clinic, he has been particularly involved in scientific research on ketamine, a drug currently registered in intranasal form for the treatment of treatment-resistant depression. He is the author of numerous scientific papers focusing on exploring the connection between antidepressant medications, depressive episodes, and changes in the immune system.
In his daily practice, he specializes in the treatment of depression, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, ADHD, sleep and eating disorders, as well as addictions and personality disorders.
